Guides Meeting- 22nd August, 2.30- 5.30, Official
It was raining today, so we could not put up the flag. We fell in instead, had patrols report strength, inspection of uniform and then we went to change into our PE attires and some of us went to have our lunch.
Today's agenda was S.R.I.T. We fell in again but today's S.R.I.T was different- instead of doing it individually patrol by patrol, we had to combine patrols and work together. So, Dove went with Flowerpecker, Kingfisher with Mynah and Oriole with Sparrow. We had to come up with a group cheer and then we set out finding the correct destinations to arrive at based on the clues given.
One of them was Qarissa's station- sleeping under the stars. We had to go to the field and answer questions related to Guiding eg. the History of Guides, the Guide Laws. We could help each other out and failure upon answering correctly would result in being soaked! :o
Eunice was in charge of the changing parade station. Patrols had to compete against one another and try to change in and out of the guides uniform within the time given, or else faster.
Bernadette was in charge of the first aid station. We had to answer questions and this station was to test us on our first aid skills and knowledge. We also had to demonstrate our skills eg. to treat a person in shock. The last station was Joey and Tristina's station. We were given slips of paper containing a guide law each and were told to hide, and the seeker had to find us and answer questions. The objectives of this station was to test our knowledge on the Guide Laws, to test our integrity (by not giving away the hiding places of our fellow guides) and to show cooperation.
Upon completing the S.R.I.T, we were given some time to change into our dry clothes and to discuss about our Sec 4 farewell item. Then, at around 5.20, we fell in and practised our footdrill. Then, we fell in in horseshoe formation and the results for the S.R.I.T were announced, along with other announcements. In 3rd position was Kingfisher Patrol, and there was a tie for 1st position- Oriole and Sparrow Patrol! Congratulations to these three patrols! xD Then, we fell out, collected our wallets and went home. Ok, that's it for now. :)

Hey.
Friday, 1st August, Unofficial Meeting, 2.30- 4.30
We fell in at 2.30. The agenda was basically National Day Parade marching for some of the Sec 2s and structure tying for the Sec 1s. After fall out, those marching for ndp went to practise their footdrill while the Sec 1s got the quads out and started tying square lashes.
The Sec 1s opened the quads with the help of our PLs and practised tying square lashes. After much practise, they were given 4 minutes to tie the squarelash. Those who managed to tie it within the given amount of time passed and went to help others. Those who failed had to try again and this time, they were given only 3 minutes.
We were supposed to practise marching with the Red Cross for ndp till 5.30 but it was cancelled. So after marching, the Sec 2s gathered and discussed about the Sec 4 farewell event. Then, as it was nearly 4.30, we fell in and listened to the announcements and fell out.
Next meeting: 12 August, 3- 5.

Money Matters to take note of:
- If money is to be handed in, please give it to the PSs on time
- If you wish to claim some money, a receipt must be shown, along with your name, class, patrol and purpose of purchase
- Please take note that amount of items purchased must add up to at least $2.50 in order for you to claim your money
- Most of the money to be given to the PLs by the PSs should be contained in an envelope, along with the name of the patrol, the name of members in the patrol, the total amount of money collected e.t.c
