Hey! Natalie here.

Friday, 25th July, Official Meeting 2.30- 4.30

We fell in at 2.30 in the field. Cheryl from Flowerpecker Patrol was the flag bearer. After fall in, everyone went to change out of their guides uniform. As we exceeded the time given (3 minutes), we had changing parade.

Then, we fell in and those who had not eaten fell out and had their lunch. The rest went to the vacant area outside the computer lab at St. Gabriel block to practise their footdrill. When we came back from lunch, we fell in with the rest and the Sec 2s who were marching for National Day Parade fell out.

We had to familiarise ourselves with the commands and marched. Eunice and Bernadette helped train us. Then Eunice asked for volunteers who could stay till 5.30 for the coperate video filming(which was later cancelled) . We had a short break and continued marching again. Then, at around 4.30, we fell in and after some announcements, we fell out and went home.

Hi, Natalie here!

We had a guides meeting today, from 2.30 to 4.30. The PSs were supposed to take over the meeting for today's session. We fell in at the parade square and there was inspection of uniform and patrols' report strength. Then we fell out and us PSs fell our patrol members in.

Then we went to the basketball court to practise our footdrill. The PSs said the commands and the Sec 2s and Sec 1s marched until 3.00. They were reminded to make sure their legs were at a 90 degree position when marching. We also taught the Sec 1s how to ask permission for a water break. Next, as some of the guides had not passed the healthy lifestyle test, almost all of us ran 3 rounds around the field with guides leading us. Those who could not run sat aside and rested. We cooled down and did some crunches too. Phew!

We then went to the open space area in between the St. Gabriel's and St. Raphael's block. We played "Simon Says", "Duck Duck Goose" and "Jacob's Ladder". We had to change venues after playing Dog and Bone as we were rather loud and classes were still going on. So we went to the parade square to play the octopus game, which involved a lot of running and screaming.

When we were all pretty exhausted, we had a water break and everyone met back in a classroom to sing campfire songs and learn cheers. Some of the songs learnt included "COY Song", " Taps", "Silvery Moon" and "Moonlight Bay". Ms Soh, our new Guider, came to watch us for a while. So now we have 4 Guiders in total.

As it was nearly 4.30, we ran to the parade square and fell in. There were some announcements and then we thanked Ms Soh and Eunice, collected our wallets and went home. OK, that's it for now. :)

Hi! This is Natalie Tong, the new historian here. :)

We had a Guides meeting (unofficial) today from 2.30-5.30 pm. The PLs fell us in and there was an introduction session in the classroom. They talked about the ABCDs- no Arguing, bargaining, complaining and delaying. The PLs also mentioned about their expectations, such as a valid reason must be given and a letter if needed when we do not attend a meeting and that attending tuition classes are not acceptable.

Then we also had patrol's corner and we discussed a possible theme for a campfire. A few of the suggestions given were "Jungle" and "Out of this world!" As the guides who were completing the Healthy Lifestyle test had to lead the COY in some exercises, all of us went down and ran 3 rounds around the field next. Then we cooled down, did crunches and push ups and played Double Whacko!

We also fell in and practised our footdrill. Next, we practised the procedure on how to fall in during official meetings with Eunice leading us. As it was already around 5.30, we then fell in in horseshoe formation and the PLs had some announcements. From next week onwards, meetings on Tuesdays will be from 3.00-5.00 instead of 2.30 to 4.30pm. The PLs also reminded us to have a SENSE OF URGENCY. Then we fell out, collected our wallets and went home. The next Guides meeting should be next Tuesday, unofficial meeting. Alright, this should be about all for now. :D
